I took this thing apart to see if it was actually built like a tank or if it was just clever marketing. Turns out, it’s a bit of both.
At this price point, you’re usually stuck with mineral glass that scratches if you look at it the wrong way. But this? It’s rocking a sapphire crystal. That’s top-tier scratch resistance. Then there’s the bezel—it’s ceramic. That’s a material you usually only find on watches costing five times as much.
Under the hood, you’ve got a reliable Japanese automatic Myota 8215 movement. It’s a workhorse. It keeps time, it’s durable, and it doesn't need a battery. Plus, it has been around for over 50 years. The case is solid stainless steel, giving it that heavy, premium wrist presence that makes you forget you paid less than a hundred bucks for it.
But here’s the reality check. It’s not a Swiss luxury watch. The lume—the glow-in-the-dark stuff—is mediocre at best, and the water resistance is a bit of a gamble. I wouldn't take this deep-sea diving, despite the "diver" label and screw down crown. It’s a desk diver, through and through.
